Furniture Cleaning Tips
- Pet Hair - To remove pet hair from upholstery, wear a wet a rubber glove and run your hand over it. The hair will cling to the glove. Rinse and repeat.
- Wine Stains - To remove wine stains in upholstery blot up stain with white cloth. Then lightly pour club soda on stain. If you don’t have club soda, spray shaving cream on the red wine stain, then lightly wet a cloth and sponge the stain.
- Odors - To remove odors from drawers, sprinkle some ground coffee into it, and leave overnight. Alternatively, use baking soda or cat litter and leave in the drawer for several days.
- Water Rings - To remove water rings from wood furniture you can apply mayonnaise over the water ring and leave overnight, wipe off with a soft dry cloth. Another idea is to apply a paste of cooking oil and salt, wait 15 minutes, then wipe off and polish.
